The Reasons why I should use PCT Job Portal2025-12-17T12:30:47+01:00
  • Specialised Recruitment: Unlike general job boards, where you might compete with hundreds of applicants with no guidance, PCT Job Portal acts as a recruitment agency, actively working to match your skills and experience with suitable employers.
  • Personalised Guidance: Our portal offers services such as career counselling and interview preparation guides, providing support that you typically wouldn’t receive from a standard job site.
  • Targeted Job Matching: Our model aims to present you to employers with the specific qualifications they seek, potentially increasing your chances of getting hired by reducing the applicant pool you are competing against.
  • Industry Expertise: We have expertise in specific industries, including sales & marketing, construction & design, transport & logistics, IT, and engineering, and more, which means we understand the specific requirements for those roles.
  • International Opportunities: Our agency facilitates job placements in over 25 countries, providing access to a global job market you might not find through local job searches alone.
  • Confidentiality: As with many job portals, you can maintain a degree of confidentiality, which is helpful if you are currently employed but looking for a new opportunity.
Why should I choose PCT Job Portal for a job search?2025-12-17T12:27:19+01:00

You should choose the PCT Job Portal if you are seeking a job through a specialised recruitment agency model rather than a standard, large-scale job board. This platform offers a more personalised, human-guided approach to job searching, particularly for positions in specific sectors and countries.

What is the difference between the plans and the add-ons?2025-12-17T12:27:39+01:00

Plans are your core subscription (fix features). At the same time, add-ons are optional, extra features. These can be Interview training, updates of resume, CVs, cover letter, Career counselling, that you purchase on top of a plan to customise and enhance it.

Depending on the plans, they can contain some of the add-ons. Add-ons can be activated separately or alongside your main service, providing flexibility without changing your base plan. Plans offer core services on a cycle; add-ons supplement them as needed.

Are fees paid monthly, yearly or one-time fees2026-01-13T12:30:18+01:00

The fees for the Bronze, Silver, and Gold plans are paid either for 6 months for the  Bronze and Silver packages, while the Gold Package is valid for 8 months, upon signing up and getting access to what they include.

For other add-ons or extra services, each package is either per number of uses or time limit.

Have a look at each package and decide which one is correct for you. The most valuable package is the Gold package, as it contains a lot of extra features. It might not be what you want, and you can therefore start with, for example, the Bronze package and then add extra services for a fee when it fits you.

Extra service packages are also paid for one time, but when you have used the specific service, and you wish to add more, you will have to pay for the service again.

  • Example, if you buy:
    • 1 hour of Interview training. (How to get through an interview with a company)

When you have used the 1-hour of training, but you feel you need more for other or different interviews, you will need to purchase the service again.

Fees can be paid in any of those ways, depending on the product or service.

Why sign up to a recruitment plan?2025-12-17T12:28:26+01:00

Signing up for a Bronze, Silver, or Gold job application plan provides increasingly comprehensive benefits and services as you move up the tiers, offering different levels of support based on your specific job search needs.

The primary differences lie in the cost (premiums) and the level of service/features provided.

Depending on the level, different services are included, but all levels include

  • Access To Listed Jobs
  • Review of your Cover letter, CV, and resume.
  • 1 update of your Resume and CV to ATS standard (More updates in Silver and gold level)
  • Newsletter

Other service can be added to your service level with the add-ones.

Employers, will also be able to check out your CVs online, therefore it is important to keep it updated.

An HR Manager’s role is to oversee an organisation’s workforce, aligning HR strategies with business goals by handling recruitment, talent development, employee relations, payroll & benefits, performance management, and ensuring legal compliance to foster a productive and positive work environment, acting as a link between employees and management.

They develop policies, manage hiring/firing, create training, handle disputes, and build company culture, varying in scope from managing specialists in large firms to handling all tasks in smaller ones.

The recruitment process involves key steps: identifying hiring needs, creating job descriptions, sourcing candidates, screening/shortlisting, interviewing/assessing, making an offer, and onboarding new hires, all aimed at finding the best fit for a role and company culture through planning, searching, selection, and integration.

How can I calculate my recruiting budget?2025-12-16T14:41:14+01:00

How can I calculate my recruiting budget? Well, to calculate your recruiting budget, first estimate your hiring needs.

Then the total of all internal costs (recruiter salaries, tech) and external costs (job ads, agencies, background checks, bonuses).

Now add them up, and divide by the number of hires to get your average Cost Per Hire (CPH).

Using past data and future goals for accuracy, plus adding a buffer for unexpected expenses.

What would be included in recruiting package?2025-12-16T14:40:11+01:00

A recruiting package includes essential hiring documents (job offer, Legal hiring forms, background check consent), details about compensation & benefits (salary, perks, bonus structure), company info (handbook, culture, org chart if available), and onboarding logistics (first-day schedule, supplies, welcome kit) to attract and prepare new hires, covering the job itself, the financial offer, and the company culture.

How recruitment is different from selection?2025-12-16T14:44:55+01:00

Recruitment is about attracting a large pool of applicants (finding people), while selection is the process of choosing the best fit from that pool (picking people). Think of recruitment as casting a wide net to get many fish, and selection as sorting those fish to keep only the valuable ones, involving steps like screening, interviews, and tests to find the right candidate for the job.
